Green roof subsidy in Nootdorp
Nootdorp municipality supports initiatives that allow extreme weather to be controlled, for example at the time of heavy rainfall. The municipality classifies such measures as climate adaptation.
In 2022, the Nootdorp is emphasizing rainwater harvesting. Green roofs can of course help with this par excellence. The municipality says it will contribute to some ”larger projects” and will reimburse up to 30 percent of this up to a maximum of 500 euros per 1,000 m3 of water storage.
So from the municipality there is plenty of opportunity to get started with the greening of your environment and receive – partial – compensation for this.

There are indeed different indicators, such as the roof construction, which determine whether you can install a green roof and which green roof you could install. This is because different green roofs have different weights. For example, a biodiversity green roof needs much more soil to grow in whereas with a sedum roof this remains fairly subtle.
We have different packages within our offerings, both green roofs that you can build yourself and green roofs that we build for you.
The do-it-yourself packages are generally very easy to install when considering installing a green roof yourself. The more complex green roofs are less suitable as a do-it-yourself job given the knowledge and skill required in this area.
Generally, we can realize your green roof within three weeks from the time you agree to the quote. Yes you hear that right, so you can start enjoying your new green roof quickly.
There are several different green roofs available. Basically, a distinction is made between the intensive and the extensive green roof.
The extensive green roof does not require much maintenance, the plants of this roof type generally stay low and can be characterized as a typical green roof you know. The plants on this type of roof do not need much moisture and you do not need to water them unless it is really dry for ages or you have just installed your green roof.
The intensive green roof is another story. An intensive roof often occurs on, say, a commercial building, where large plants, tall shrubs and even trees grow. You can imagine that such a surface needs a deeper planting layer (soil) to accommodate the larger plants. Not to mention maintenance yet.
Of course, there are also intermediate forms of green roofs that require a little bit of maintenance. However, basically the ”regular” green roof needs little maintenance.
