About green roofs
A green roof in Bloemendaal is currently subsidized; however, you must meet some conditions if you want to qualify for the subsidy.
What is being subsidized?
The grant is specifically aimed at supporting material costs, such as plants and related tools, such as protective cloths and drainage layers.
In certain situations, it is possible to receive a subsidy of €35 per square meter. You will find detailed information in the relevant conditions.
The established subsidy level is €25 per square meter, with an upper limit of €1,000 per address. This subsidy represents up to 50% of the total material cost. For Owners’ Associations (VvEs), there is a collective subsidy cap of €5,000 per application.
Terms
- Individual homeowners, Home Owners Associations (HOAs) and private tenants with prior landlord approval may apply.
- The proposed green roof covers at least 10 square meters.
- The roof in question is attached to an existing home within the Bloemendaal municipal boundaries. This grant does not apply to roofs of future homes or to individual garages or sheds.
- The grant is specifically intended to cover the cost of materials, including plants and tools.
- It is also possible to claim the subsidy if the green roof is realized on your own initiative and without the intervention of professional parties or gardeners.
- The installed green roof should be maintained for at least 5 years.
